Your full-service-agency operating from Berlin, Hamburg and Madrid

How did your agency come to be formed? How did that happen? Is there an interesting story about how codafish was founded?

Andreas: Timo and I studied computer science together at the Fern University in Hagen, in Germany. At that time we were already talking about the possibility of working for ourselves. However, as is what most often happens, the idea came and went for a while – reemerginging sporadically in our plans. But, after the prospect of a considerable contract came our way, we decided to found the agency in June, 2018.

You describe yourself as a full-service agency. What services do you offer your clients? What do you specialize in? How has your company’s portfolio evolved?

Timo: We are a digital agency with offices in Hamburg, Berlin and Madrid. Our philosophy is to accompany our clients along their way to a successful digital project – from consulting and conception to design and development to marketing and hosting. We specialize in projects in the area of digital business transformation and we focus on Pimcore development.

Why do you work, primarily, with Pimcore? What advantages does the platform offer in the area of DAM?

Andreas: Pimcore is a “Digital Experience Platform”, a central repository that combines the building blocks PIM, MDM and DAM. In particular, the DAM component (Digital Asset Management) offers maximum flexibility and a multi-faceted portfolio for handling and administering assets. Pimcore manages and aggregates any amount of data of the most diverse types. In order to be able to manage this diversity sensibly, Pimcore engages in a so-called “smart tagging” of the data – a process that occurs through the use of artificial intelligence. This helps to better consolidate and structure the data, while also enabling it to play out through the most vast array of channels.

What are the requirements for solid data management in large companies? What are the basic principles?

Andreas: First and foremost, solid digital asset management must meet current security standards and be robust. Indeed, it must also meet current technological requirements and have the data structured in a way that allows for a good overview of the digitally recorded data. This is the only way for a DAM to create added value while, at the same time, reducing effort and costs.

Who is your target audience?

Timo: Our main focus is on digitization in medium-sized companies. Digital technologies are fundamentally changing the way that we organize our lives: how we shop, how we interact with one another, but also, how we work. . Medium-sized businesses are faced with the challenge of making their offerings fit for the digital world in order to not be left behind.

How do you stand out from other service providers in your industry?

Timo: We consciously avoid being a large agency team – relying, rather, on lean structures. To the benefit of our clients. This means that we are able to work cost-efficiently, and to flexibly bring in the experts that we need for the execution of client projects. We attach great importance to communicating proactively with our clients, and offer the best quality at reasonable prices.

How do you see your company developing over the next 10 years?

Andreas: In order to survive in this business, we have to remain innovative at all times. This is the only way that we can expand our range and be well-positioned in the market in the future. That also requires, however, growth and openness to new technologies. In 10 years, we want to be an established agency that everyone knows and with which everyone wants to work.
