Timo Müller: We are convinced that the classic agency business model is going through a digital transformation. The possibilities for communicating with one another online have evolved over the past few years. Meetings with clients take place, for example, via video conference calls, the exchange of information between employees occurs across national boundaries – using the cloud. Direct communication between our clients and our employees enables an efficient and effective project workflow, so that the project manager does not have to be brought in on every issue. In this way, we offer our employees greater scope for decision-making and the opportunity to play an active role in project implementation.

Andreas Wroblewski: In our opinion, dealing with clients in a transparent and trusting manner is the basis for a good working relationship. In an initial meeting, we sit down with the client and discuss their needs, wishes and goals. We work together to define an outline of the project and we provide answers with regard to what is feasible and how much the project could cost. The client learns how they can achieve their goals with us as an agency.

Timo Müller: First of all, we would like to say that Pimcore, Drupal and WordPress are open source solutions. This allows us to concentrate on the work without needing to explain complicated license models to the client. Thanks to progress in technology, more and more processes are moving onto the internet. Nowadays, customers don’t just want to learn about a company’s services and products, rather, they want to, directly, order online, or learn the status of their request. This requires flexible systems in the background with which data and processes can be managed centrally. Each of the CMS systems that we use has a specific focus. WordPress is suitable for small websites, blogs and shops. Drupal is ideal for medium to large websites and shops, with a higher degree of customization. . Pimcore is recommended for demanding projects. Especially for the e-commerce sector, Pimcore offers advanced MDM / PIM, DAM and CEM features with which all marketing workflows can be easily digitized and combined at one back end.

Andreas Wroblewski: Here, it depends specifically on user case studies. If, for example, a blog, newsletter or shop is to be operated on a small scale, WordPress is still the right choice and that will not change in the future. Already, now, and in the future, more and more data will be collected by various systems in a wide variety of formats. The consolidation and management of this data, as well as its distribution to different channels, such as print, mobile app or web application are challenges that the future will pose for us. The trend is easy to see. Solutions, such as Drupal or Pimcore should be used for such complex demands.

Timo Müller: Not every company needs its own app. Mobile apps are used to bring recurring processes into a framework that is expected to be understood by customers or employees as added value. It is of course easier if, for example, a damage report, for which a form has to be filled out, signed and sent in the traditional way, can be called up with just a few clicks via an app and the current processing status can be viewed at any time. We concentrate on the implementation of hybrid apps using modern web technologies such as ionic or Angular. The big advantage is that apps can be created with a single program code base for both iOS and Android devices, which are cost efficient in terms of further development and maintenance.

In the future, agencies will be characterized by flat hierarchies, lean structures and location independence in order to offer the client maximum flexibility in the implementation of projects. This is exactly where we provide support with tailor-made strategies and the development of individual software solutions.
